For a community event in Hamburg, Bumble wanted to connect with local audiences beyond traditional event promotion. Together with Berlin-based partner agency Go Girls, we developed the community approach and identified the people and local communities that could make the experience feel relevant, diverse and genuine. Rather than optimizing for reach, the focus was on curation. We managed community outreach, invitations and guest acquisition to bring the right mix of people into an intimate setting designed for conversation and new connections.
We started by defining which communities and audiences made sense for Bumble locally, then translated that strategy into targeted outreach and invitation management. Around 150 guests came together for an intimate experience combining dinner, drinks, games and a photo booth. Every element supported the same idea: creating an environment where meeting someone new could happen naturally.
The event reached its full guest capacity of approximately 150 people and brought a diverse mix of local communities together in Hamburg. Instead of maximizing impressions, the activation created value through participation and proximity, giving Bumble a direct and personal touchpoint with relevant local audiences while creating space for genuine new connections.
