233c produced a DJ Workshop for FLINTA of Color in Hamburg on behalf of Marshall, in collaboration with Roots Berlin, come.unity, and DJ Shari Who. The goal was to offer a low-barrier entry into the world of DJing and create real connections between emerging talent and the established scene. The result was a space where learning, dialogue, and empowerment took center stage, not performance pressure. Participants learned the basics of equipment, BPM, mixing, and loops, but also how to position themselves as DJs, negotiate fees, and build networks.
233c conceptualized, curated, and implemented the DJ workshop in collaboration with Roots Berlin and come.unity, working with Hamburg-based artist Shari Who. Marshall was integrated through product-related brand presence, playlist activation, and a credible role within the workshop setting, never as sponsor, but as part of the experience. A small group of FLINTAs of Color was selected to create a safe, interactive learning space with practical DJ expertise, personal exchange, and insight into the music industry.
The workshop gave FLINTA of Color participants a rare space to learn DJing from the ground up, hands on, in a small group, and without the pressure of a bigger stage or an audience. Beyond the basics of equipment, BPM, mixing, and loops, participants left with a clearer sense of how to position themselves as DJs, negotiate fees, and start building the kind of network that is usually hard to access without an existing foothold in the scene. Keeping the group small mattered: everyone had real time with the equipment and direct access to Shari Who as mentor, which created space for questions and mistakes that a larger event never could. Marshall's role stayed close to that experience, through the equipment and playlist rather than through branding, which kept the focus on what participants were actually learning.
