Low Key started with a simple idea: create a space where people could come together without needing a reason beyond music, food and good company. For the first edition, we took over the rooftop of Villa Viva in Hamburg and invited the community to spend the day with us. DJs from Hamburg and Cologne provided the soundtrack, Jamaican barbecue brought people around the same table and the rooftop became a meeting point for people from across the city's creative community.
Rather than building the event around a traditional program, we focused on creating the conditions for connection. The event was completely free and intentionally accessible. Together with Soundboks as a partner, we created an informal rooftop experience where music, food and atmosphere gave people a reason to stay, meet and connect.
Low Key Vol. 1 reached full capacity with approximately 250 to 300 guests and turned one of Villa Viva's early rooftop events into a shared community experience. More importantly, it established the foundation for Low Key as a recurring come.unity format centered around bringing people together through music, food and genuine connection.
