Soundsession was built as a stage for hidden vocal talent, not a workshop or a lesson. In spring 2024, together with Roots Berlin, come.unity brought a small, curated lineup of vocal artists and singer-songwriters to an intimate setting in Hamburg to share their music directly with an audience. Powered by Marshall, the format gave these artists a real platform rather than an open mic, built to let their music land raw and unvarnished.
233c conceived and implemented the first Soundsession Hamburg as a co-initiative with Roots Berlin, curating a lineup of hidden vocal artists and singer-songwriters and building an intimate, atmospheric setting around their performances. The format was deliberately kept close and unpolished: no big stage production, just artists performing directly for a room of people who came to listen. Marshall's role was to power the format and give it a real setting to happen in, without turning the evening into a branded show.
Soundsession gave a small group of emerging vocal artists a real stage and an audience that came specifically to listen to them, visibility that voices at this stage in their career don't usually get. For the audience, the format offered proximity to artists early in their journey, in a room built to let their music be heard directly rather than filtered through a big production. The first edition set Soundsession up as a format come.unity could repeat: a real stage for talent that hasn't been discovered yet.
